About the Founders

Sanjay Sarda

Sanjay Sarda is alumni of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad with over 29 years of working experience in India and USA, which includes multiple entrepreneurial stints and diverse consulting responsibilities. He is a Certified Corporate Director by IICA and IOD and one of the first few individuals in India to qualify to be an Independent Director. He is also serving diverse set of businesses and HNIs in the capacity of virtual CEO, helping them in providing solutions for critical challenges, decision making and business strategy.

Earlier, he was associated with many multinationals like, Monsanto, Procter and Gamble, General Electric, Tata Consultancy Services, IBM Global Services, CSX Corporation, Krishidhan Group, and Ernst and Young LLP, in diverse roles.

On social fronts, he is actively associated in leadership roles with Rotary International and Saturday Club Global Trust.

Jimish Kapadia

Jimish Kapadia is an active angel investor and very well connected in the banking & startup community. In his earlier roles, he was a Senior Director, Asia Pacific at Buckzy Payments Inc, and President & Regional Head, Transaction Banking & Digital Banking across Corporate clients for West & South India at Yes Bank.

Jimish is a Master of Commerce from the University of Gujarat and a PGDBA from Symbiosis. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in Banking across Yes Bank & ICICI Bank.

Sushant Bhasin

Sushant Bhasin, is an experienced banker with profound understanding of the ever-evolving financial services market. He has domain expertise across all facets of Transaction Banking including, working capital management, supply chain management, structured trade and capital markets, financial and payments technologies.

In his last role as Executive Director, Global Transaction Banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank, he was responsible for building the Transaction Banking business vertical from scratch. Prior to this, he has worked with some of the world’s and India’s leading Banking/Financial services companies such as ANZ, Bank of America, YES Bank and GE Capital in diverse senior level positions across business strategy, product development, sales & client management and operations.

Asit Oberoi

Asit Oberoi is a veteran in Banking and Finance. In his earlier roles , Asit was the Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Buckzy Payments Inc., and Head of Transaction Banking and COO at Yes Bank.

Asit is a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai and a Chartered Accountant. He brings with him over 30 years of experience in Banking & Financial services industry spanning across Fidelity International, Standard Chartered Bank, ANZ Grindlays Bank & Bank of America. He also has general management experience which includes leading teams in a range of Finance & Operations functions. He also has experience in new business set ups. He is regularly invited to speak at various national and international forums related to Banking products, innovation & technology.

Chandrashekar Kupperi

Chandrashekar Kupperi is Founder of ANOVA Corporate Services, an Advisory firm with focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Buy-side or Sell-side and Fund Raise.

Shekar, as he is known in his circle, has almost two decades of experience in various multinationals with diversified sector experience – FMCG, Life Insurance, Audit & Assurance and Oil & Gas His most recent stint was as Group Finance Director with Lornamead Group, a UK based multinational in the FMCG space which owns well-known personal care brands (such as Yardley of London, Finesse, etc.). His prior stints include various finance and audit positions with MNCs such as ExxonMobil and KPMG.

He has a rich experience in the FMCG – M&A space, having led / been part of over 11 Acquisitions and 6 Divestments, across sectors including FMCG, Hospitality and Manufacturing, besides re-structuring and re-financing transactions in North America, Europe and India.

He is an active Angel Investor (investments made in 25+ Start-ups across segments). Besides this, he has also invested in institutional Angel funds including 1Crowd, IvyCap and PointOne Capital.

He is a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and a Company Secretary by qualification; a Rank Holder and Medalist in both ICAI and ICWAI. He is also a member of Institute of Management Accountants, US, Institute of Public Accountants, Australia and Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, UK. He holds an MBA and has completed a Senior Management Certification programme from IIM-Calcutta.

Safir Anand

Safir Anand is accredited as one of India’s Top IP Attorney and an Ace Investor. He is a Senior Partner & Head of Trademarks, Commercial & Contractual IP at Anand and Anand, with over 25 years of experience in providing inputs on strategy, business models, marketing and commercial insights, blended with an astute understanding of IP law that encompasses IP protection, IP enforcement, IP agreements, licensing, franchising, monetisation and due diligence.

Safir has worked throughout his career to explore facets of monetization, fine-tuned the concept of Returns of Advertising, created industry level specialisations for the firm, worked with clients’ R&D Teams for product development and personally created product prototypes and very recently co-set up a COVID Fund for artisans in the country. Safir has recently been included as Knowledge Partner to several Start-up networks/incubators. He has been recognised by many prestigious forums such Financial Times London, Business World India, Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Forbes amongst many others for being an innovative professional.

Chaitanya Dhareshwar
